Bobby Jones Links Adds Nine New Clubs For 2021

Atlanta-based club management company, Bobby Jones Links, heads into 2021 after another impressive year of club additions and renovation projects. With the addition of Union Country Club and Oak Shadows Golf Club, Bobby Jones Links concludes the year with nine new clubs in its portfolio. The new clubs are located in Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio and North Carolina.

Bobby Jones Links also completed a multi-year, $33 million renovation to the Bobby Jones Golf Course in 2020, adding the brand-new Murray Golf House, Boone’s restaurant and additional enhancements to the course’s offerings. A satellite office also opened at the flagship property. Additional 2020 renovations for Bobby Jones Links included a $1.5 million renovation on the Cleveland Country Club dining room, clubhouse and golf course; a $500 thousand expansion of The Georgia Club’s facilities; $400 thousand for the King’s Creek Golf Club golf course renovation; and $1 million on the Ooltewah Club’s golf course renovation.

Union Country Club and Oak Shadows Golf Club are the newest additions to the Bobby Jones Links portfolio, coming on in late 2020. The neighboring clubs in Ohio, both under the ownership of the Stokey family, are important facets of the local community. Union Country Club, situated on the rolling Dover hills, is over 100 years old and features plenty of amenities for its members, including a pool, fine dining and a variety of activities. Oak Shadows Golf Club, a family-friendly course located close by in New Philadelphia, was purchased by the Stokeys in December. With similar business philosophies and a shared value of community, Bobby Jones Links is looking forward to partnering with the local family to manage and improve both golf clubs.

“We are excited about our continued growth in 2020, but, as always, we are looking to the future,” said Whitney Crouse, Co-Founder and Chairman of Bobby Jones Links. “The Bobby Jones name gives us a strong standing in the golf community, but our experience and efforts are what make us stand out in the management industry and attract prospective client clubs. We anticipate adding a number of new clubs to our profile in 2021 and are committed to maintaining our customer focus and employee-centric culture in the new year.”

Bobby Jones Links has plans for approximately $4.5 million in club renovations across six of its properties in 2021. These will include an additional $1.1 million renovation on the Hope Valley Country Club clubhouse, $2.5 million for King’s Creek Golf Club’s new clubhouse, pavilion, and outdoor campus, and over $1.25 million dedicated to enhancements to Cobblestone Park, Cobblestone Golf Club, Cleveland Country Club, The Georgia Club and Mixson Club. These enhancements will include cart path repairs, bunker renovations, clubhouse changes, new furniture for amenities and golf shop renovations.
