Carolinas 2014 Conference and Trade Show APP (Nov 17)

An APP at your fingertips to guide you through the more than 2,000 attendees at this year’s Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association Conference and Trade Show in Myrtle Beach, S.C., next week. The free app features everything attendees need to know about where to be and when as well who is on site whether they are speakers, attendees or exhibitors. It also includes a survey feature giving participants the chance to rate their experience and recommend improvements.

“Our own conference app is going to be a great service for members and attendees,” said Carolinas GCSA executive director Tim Kreger. “We continually strive to find ways to improve their conference experience and this is a big step forward I believe.”

The app is available for free download on Android and Apple.

The annual conference – the largest regional event for golf course superintendents in the nation – starts Monday, Nov. 17 with education sessions and a golf championship with more than 330 players in the field. Nearly 200 different companies have booked out the entire exhibit hall – more than 100,000 gross square feet – for the trade show which runs Tuesday evening into Wednesday. More than 1,300 seats have been booked for formal education sessions Monday and Tuesday.

“We are extremely grateful for the continued high interest in our Conference and Show from attendees and exhibitors alike,” Kreger said. “Our event works because of the mutual commitment between golf course superintendents and the companies that provide the goods and services they need to their jobs. We also enjoy wonderful support from some of the smartest researchers and educators in turfgrass and the golf business. It’s a great recipe for success.”

Registration for the Carolinas GCSA Conference and Trade Show is available on site at Myrtle Beach Convention Center or online at www.carolinasgcsa.org.
