Residents and children at Naples Lakes Country Club (www.napleslakesfl.com) in East Naples were in for a special treat on Saturday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. But before they start searching for Easter eggs, all eyes were looking upward to the skies, eager for the arrival of the Easter bunny. The famed cottontail arrived by helicopter around 10:00 a.m., courtesy of London Aviation Group on the 18th fairway of Collier Country’s only Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course.
Bryan Roe, General Manager and COO of Naples Lakes Country Club greeted the Easter Bunny and escort him to the waiting crowds, officially opening the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Several hundred residents and observers were on hand, baskets at the ready, to take a photo with the Bunny and then collect treats, somewhat “hidden” on the Clubhouse grounds.
After the Hunt, a more adult event was planned for the community residents, as Naples Lakes hosted its second annual Car Show, presented by the Cool Cruisers of Southwest Florida. The festivities included food and drinks, with about 100 cars on exhibit.
Additionally, the philanthropic golfers of Naples Lakes conducted a putting competition benefiting Home Base SWFL, a facility dedicated to healing invisible wounds for veterans and their families. After a donation to Home Base, both adults and children tried their putting skills for the competition.
Located at 4784 Naples Lakes Boulevard, Naples Lakes Country Club is a private 490-acre gated golf course and country club community were “bundled” golf membership is included with every residence. Naples Lakes is Collier county’s only Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course. The community contains more than 200 acres of lakes and protected nature preserves and has been designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, one of only 114 in Florida.
