Empire Golf to manage Chico course

Empire Golf Inc., a regional golf course management company in Rancho Murieta, has picked up another course to manage.

Empire Golf announced Friday that it has been selected to run Bidwell Park Golf Course, an 18-hole municipal golf course in Chico. The five-year contract starts in October 2012.

Bidwell Golf Course operations include a clubhouse, daily food service, golf shop, practice putting and chipping greens, and a practice bunker.

“Empire Golf has an outstanding reputation within the golf industry and we look forward to their leadership and guidance in providing great service and value to the golfing community,” Roger Clark, Bidwell Park Golf Club president, said in a news release.

Empire Golf manages five golf courses in Northern California. They are Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in Carmichael, Cherry Island Golf Course in Elverta, DarkHorse Golf Club in Auburn, the Auburn Valley Golf Club in Auburn, and Oakmont Golf Club in Santa Rosa.
