Haverhill’s Renaissance named Golf Course of Year

HAVERHILL ‚ The Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill was named Course of the Year for 2012 by the New England Chapter of the National Golf Course Owner’s Association.

The award recognizes Renaissance and its staff as a model operation in the industry, taking into consideration four key components: Exceptional quality of the course, exceptional quality of ownership and management, outstanding contribution to the local community and significant contributions to the game.

“It feels great to be recognized like this by the NEGCOA,” said Greg Sherwood, president of Southworth Golf. “It shows that we are succeeding in our mission to make Renaissance a club that truly stands out.”

Renaissance is owned and operated by affiliates of Southworth Development LLC of Newton.
