Integrity Golf announced Tano Malentin has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role, effective immediately, Malentin will oversee all facets of the company’s business units, including sales and marketing, food and beverage, and golf course operations. According to Malentin, who previously oversaw Integrity Golf’s sales and marketing efforts, his new focus is two-fold: continue building the ‘best hospitality company’ in the golf business and investing in the well-being of Integrity Golf’s employees.

‘We’re fortunate to have Tano move into this new position among our company’s senior leadership,’ Integrity Golf President/CEO Gene Garrote said. ‘Tano understands the importance and dynamics of all the various business units, and we are confident this strategic move will further position Integrity Golf for future growth.’

A native of the Ivory Coast, Malentin is a testimony of the value of junior golf programs and First Tee efforts focusing on those not normally exposed to the game. After being selected to participate in a government-sponsored junior golf initiative, Malentin proved to be a quick study of the sport and became the Ivory Coast Junior Champion at age 15.

Soon after, the country’s ‘first generation’ golfer moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., where he started working for American Golf Company in 1995 as a pro shop attendant. A year later, American Golf transferred Malentin to Celebration Golf Club outside Orlando as an assistant golf professional where he became a key player in the early success of Celebration, earning regional co-worker of the year honors in 1998.

Seven years later, Malentin returned to nationally acclaimed Celebration as the golf operations manager and he was promoted to General Manager in 2011. Malentin also served as the general manager of Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando.

‘I’m looking forward to my new opportunity at Integrity Golf and further growing my relationship with everybody at Integrity Golf Company and each of the communities we serve,’ Malentin said. ‘Most importantly, I’m committed to making our company the most-sought after place to work and delivering world-class hospitality guest experiences wherever we are.’
