International Club of Myrtle Beach Acquired by Chris Manning Communities

The International Club of Myrtle Beach has a new owner.  Chris Manning Communities, one of the nation’s premier lifestyle and residential community developers, has purchased the 18-hole course in Murrells Inlet, SC.   Manning has also selected East Coast Golf (ECG) as part of a long-term agreement to manage all club operations.  Manning and East Coast Golf also partner together to manage and develop Grand Harbor Golf and Yacht Club in Greenwood, SC.

The Willard Byrd designed golf course will be part of The Myrtle Beach Golf Trail, a collection of over 20 courses along the Grand Strand, offering vacationers and locals an exceptional golf and membership experience.

Future plans for International Club are focused on providing a sense of community involvement for all residents.  “We are excited about the opportunity to work with Chris Manning again at International Club.  At all our golf courses, we are committed to making the club the focal point of the community.”, says Mike Buccerone, President of ECG

Along with the commitment to provide a more community-centric club, Manning plans to re-develop the practice area and clubhouse complex to accommodate enhanced club functionality and allow for greater residential development.  Manning adds. “We know that our clubs are successful when the residents and neighbors feel a sense of belonging.  The East Coast Golf team are experts when it comes to creating that sense of community.”
