Keeton named National Turf Product Manager by Ewing Irrigation

Ewing strengthens its national sales and product management strategy for turf and erosion control products with the addition of Andrew Keeton as National Turf Products Manager.

Keeton joins Mike Blume, national sales manager of Ewing’s U.S. network of Turf Team sales representatives, providing strategy, management and support for Ewing’s Turf Products Division that includes agronomic, erosion control and sports field products.

In his new role, Keeton will oversee vendor relations, merchandising and marketing programs, and other product-related issues for the division, as well as provide assistance with inventory management and regional turf product offerings.

Keeton previously served as Ewing’s agronomist and turf products sales representative in the Southeastern U.S., specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of turf pests, diseases and issues. He also provided customer and employee education on turf and erosion control products, and assisted customers with individualized agronomic plans and best turf management cultural practices.

Prior to joining Ewing in 2008, Keeton served as technician and agronomic specialist for the South Carolina Cooperative Extension, and service representative for Shemin Nurseries. He transitioned to the supply side of the business in 1999, working for McGinnis Farms (later acquired by a large national distributor in 2000).

Keeton is a member of the Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) and the Georgia Turfgrass Association (GTA). He holds a bachelor’s degree in crop and soil science from Michigan State University, and a master’s degree in agronomy and minor in experimental statistics from Clemson University.
