Landscapes Golf Management Selected to Operate The Lexington Golf & Country Club in Central Virginia

Landscapes Golf Management has been selected to operate The Lexington Golf & Country Club, the second oldest club in Virginia.

The company will manage business strategy and planning, golf course maintenance, clubhouse operations, marketing, IT, staffing and training, food and beverage, health and wellness, merchandising, golf instruction and accounting.

Less than four miles from the prestigious Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute in central Virginia, Lexington G&CC boasts well-known alumni and residents of the bustling college town as members.  In addition, Washington and Lee’s men’s and ladies’ golf teams, each ranked in the top 10 of DIII, call Lexington G&CC their home course.  Landscapes Golf Management will build on that foundation through new programming and membership campaigns to primarily attract young families.

Membership classifications are full and social with special categories for young professionals, juniors and non-residents.  The golf course allows limited public play.

Landscapes Golf Management created a plan to deploy its sophisticated tools and talented people to drive lifts in member experiences and business performance,” says Jason Melvin, current member and Past-President of Lexington G&CC Board of Directors, who was instrumental in leading the management company transition.  “The company is both smart and bold to put our club in the position to serve the community for another 100-plus years.”

“We are focused on enhancing the club’s physical plant and offerings to members and guests,” says Tom Everett, President of Landscapes Golf Management.  “From there, we expect the local, regional and university alumni bases to support the club in even greater ways.”

Amenities include four tennis courts, junior Olympic-size swimming pool, restaurant and spacious banquet facilities.
