Landscapes Management Co. names Williams VP, adds Briggs Ranch

Landscapes Management Company (LMC), a division of Landscapes Unlimited, has named Mike Williams vice president of operations. In addition, Lincoln-based LMC has signed a third-party management agreement to operate Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas.

Williams comes to LMC (www.landscapesunlimited.com) with more than two decades of golf operations experience, including the last 12 years at a top 5 management company, where he’d been managing a portfolio of more than a dozen golf properties with total revenues in excess of $40 million.

Landscapes Management Co., with its portfolio of more than 50 properties, is one of the largest third-party management companies in the U.S. It offers a full line of management services including golf operations, accounting, and finance, agronomy, marketing and food and beverage.

In his new role, Williams will provide leadership for LMC’s team of Regional Managers to ensure they are exceeding client expectations on service delivery and achieving financial projections. He will also maintain a small portfolio of managed properties under his direct supervision.

“Landscapes Unlimited is a bona fide leader in the golf course industry and I am excited to be a part of this growing company,” said Williams. “I also look forward to bringing to bear my own background to help further grow our management business.”

“We are very excited about the addition of Mike to our team,” added Tom Everett, president of Landscapes Management Company.  “Mike is one of the brightest minds in the industry and brings a tremendous amount of experience to every aspect of the golf business.”

Briggs Ranch Golf Club (www.briggsgolf.com) the other new addition at LMC, is a private destination property located 15 miles west of downtown San Antonio. It boasts a nationally ranked Tom Fazio-designed course, a world-class 18-acre practice facility, and a full-service clubhouse.

LMC signed a 5-year contract with Briggs Ranch GC. It will manage the club on a comprehensive basis.

Briggs Ranch is one of seven properties added to the LMC portfolio thus far in 2017, yet another illustration of the strong growth at Landscapes Management Company, which has quickly ascended to a place among the 15 largest management companies in the world. Today it manages more than 50 properties in the United States, Canada and China.

Founded in 1976, Landscapes Unlimited initially built its industry-leading reputation in the course-construction realm, with more than 1,700 completed golf course construction, renovation, and recreational development projects to date. The firm started managing golf properties in the late 1980s. In the spring of 2017, it announced the formation of Landscapes Golf Maintenance, a contract course-maintenance division headed by industry veteran Larry Hanks.
