New Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation Board Member PGA’s Cathy Harbin

Cathy Harbin, a Class A member of the PGA of America and a PGA Master Professional, recently was appointed to the board of the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation.  Cathy also is a member of the PGA Board of Directors as its second only At-Large Director.  With over 25 years as an operator in the golf business, including 12 years managing the World Golf Village golf courses, Cathy has perfected training and operational systems that create a consistent world-class experience along with sustainable profits.  Additionally, she is a member of the LPGA and Vice President of the National Golf Course Owners Association.

“We are honored to welcome Cathy into the Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation family as a board member,” said Kelly McCammon, CEO, and Founder of the Foundation.  “Cathy is highly regarded throughout the industry and we know she will be valuable to us as we grow and expand our mission to bring golf to 4-9 year-olds in the underserved communities around the country.”

As Executive Director of Golf 20/20 for three years, Cathy helped drive the World Golf Foundation mission to increase awareness and participation in the game of golf.  She led the successful launch of Get Golf Ready, a national instructional program. The initiative continues its dedication to the future of golf and has contributed over $1 billion to the golf industry.

Golf Inc. magazine named Cathy as one of the Most Admired Golf Course Operators, and Golf News magazine named her as Woman of the Year.  In addition to receiving numerous PGA Chapter and Section awards, she has been recognized by the Florida Times Union as one of the 7 Most Powerful Women in Sports, and by the Jacksonville Business Journal as a Woman of Influence.

“I have had the pleasure of seeing firsthand how golf can change lives,” said Harbin. “The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation is going to change the trajectory of the lives of so many underserved children. I am thrilled to be a part of an organization that is making such a positive impact.”
