Chesapeake Valley Seed has announced the founding of the company and the opening of their new commercial distribution center at 8869 Greenwood Place, Suite C, in Savage, Maryland on August 1st, 2013.
The new company offers a diverse range of turfgrass, reclamation, forage, wildflower, erosion control and native seed varieties, mixtures and blends for many applications, including sports fields, landscaping, livestock management and forest or grassland redevelopment projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Chesapeake Valley Seed President Jon Straughn is excited for start of the new company and their future. “We’re committed to providing our customers with real, valuable customer service,” says Straughn. “We don’t just sell our customers some seeds and call it a day. From soil testing and site evaluation to selecting the best grass and wildflower seeds for your unique requirements, we’re with you from germination through establishment.
