Pete Simmons has joined Applegate as a sales and marketing consultant for the mulch division. Pete is a graduate of Michigan State University’s Turfgrass Management program and has been a fixture in the hydroseeding and erosion control industry for over 21 years. He is able to provide expert advice on hydroseeding equipment operation and hydroseeding material selection. Pete is currently an active member of the International Erosion Control Association and the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association.
Based on Pete’s recommendation Applegate has enacted a new early order program effective December 8 through January 15, 2012 on truckload orders. The new early order program offers a generous discount on all hydroseeding mulches ordered during the early order period. Customers can delay delivery of their early orders until March 30, 2012. Applegate’s delayed delivery program allows hydroseeders the cost savings that they are looking for while immediately freeing up their labor and warehouse space for more seasonal products.
Starting in one small facility in Okemos, Michigan in 1978, Applegate today boasts the largest paper mulch producing capability in the world, drawing from seven plants sprawling across America. With those 7 ÂÂfacilities Applegate can ship to more locations cheaper than the competition, including international customers, while also ensuring that backup facilities and flexible delivery options are available for Applegate’s complete line of hydroseeding mulches and consumables.
