Rain Bird Announces New Irrigation Training Schedule For 2015-2016 (Sept 9)

September 9, 2015 – Rain Bird Training Services will host more than 85 irrigation training events throughout the U.S. from September 2015 through May 2016. These classes are open to irrigation professionals at all experience levels, including contractors, distributors, golf course superintendents, designers and architects. Those who attend Rain Bird training classes are eligible to receive continuing education units (CEUs) from the Irrigation Association.

“With all of the water issues present throughout the world today, there’s never been a more urgent need for quality irrigation training,” said Paul Lierheimer, director of Rain Bird’s Contractor Division. “By attending Rain Bird Services training classes, irrigation professionals can learn how to help their customers use less water in the pursuit of beautiful, healthy landscapes.”

Rain Bird Training Services offers two different training programs designed to help irrigation professionals enhance their skill sets and improve their career prospects:

Rain Bird Factory Trained classes provide comprehensive training on Rain Bird products and help attendees become experts on installing, managing and maintaining Rain Bird irrigation systems. Rain Bird Services will offer 45 of Factory Trained events during the 2015-2016 training season. Due to the hands-on nature of these classes, space is limited.
Rain Bird Academy classes provide industry-leading, general irrigation skills training on products from various manufacturers. This training track includes Rain Bird’s popular Boot Camp classes, which are endorsed as “IA Select” courses by the Irrigation Association. Rain Bird Academy classes are also available to prepare individuals for the IA’s certification exams (Irrigation Technician, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor, Certified Irrigation Designer and Certified Irrigation Consultant). Rain Bird Services will offer 42 Rain Bird Academy events during the upcoming training season.
Rain Bird Services also offers on-site, customized training that’s ideal for medium and large-sized irrigation contractors, public agencies and irrigation distributors. “Our instructors travel to your location and provide training on only the products you use,” said John Sais, senior technical trainer for Rain Bird Services. “It can be a great cost-saving option for organizations that need to train larger groups on specific products and practices.”

For years, Rain Bird Services has helped irrigation and landscape professionals learn new skills and increase their marketability within the industry. “We’ve been in the professional training business for more than 12 years,” said Robert Pfeil, marketing group–services. “Over the years, the number of classes and types of training we provide has increased substantially. We feel that rapid growth is a testament to the quality product that we’re able to deliver.”
