Cabot-Managed Properties Unveils Serket, A New Identity Marking a Bold New Era For Rio Secco Golf Club In Las Vegas

Cabot-Managed Properties, an affiliate of Cabot, developer and operator of luxury resort and residential golf destinations, is proud to announce the official rebrandmarkering of Rio Secco Golf Club to Serket. This change marks an exciting new chapter for the celebrated Las Vegas course, complementing its world-class golf experience with a striking new identity.

Owned by VICI Properties and located just 20 minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip, Serket is perfectly positioned for travelers and locals alike seeking to pair championship-level golf with the endless entertainment, dining and nightlife in one of the world’s most dynamic cities. The award-winning course, designed by Rees Jones, offers an unforgettable experience that showcases both the thrill of the game and the beauty of the Nevada desert.

Serket (pronounced SIR-ket), is inspired by the ancient Egyptian goddess of protection, Serket, known for her healing powers against venomous stings and depicted with a scorpion gracing her crown. Serket’s powerful yet protective presence can be appreciated as golfers navigate the course’s stunning and demanding desert landscapes.

“Through Cabot-Managed Properties, our mission is to continually elevate the properties within our portfolio, ensuring each destination delivers an exceptional golf experience that reflects its unique character,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. “The transformation to Serket melds the course’s natural splendor with a refreshed identity that captures both the spirit of the game and the surrounding Mojave Desert.”

“The team is very excited to launch our new brand identity, and we can’t wait to officially reopen on September 20 as Serket,” said Jeff Krohn, executive vice president of Cabot-Managed Properties. “We look forward to offering our guests an amazing golf experience this fall as we make the transition from Rio Secco to Serket.”

Celebrating the natural beauty of the property’s surroundings while embracing the rugged nature of the Mojave Desert in which it is located, the new identity is anchored by a bold scorpion logo, symbolizing the course’s distinctive edge and powerful presence. Refreshed branding will be reflected in updated signage, tee markers, scorecards, and special touches to bring Serket’s bold identity to life across the property. With sweeping views of the Las Vegas Valley, immaculately maintained fairways and a design that rewards precision, Serket continues to offer the same exceptional play that golfers have come to love, now with a brand that reflects its unique spirit.

Since October 2022, Cabot has expanded its footprint with the introduction of Cabot-Managed Properties. The portfolio includes four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Chariot Run in Indiana, Grand Bear in Mississippi, and Cascata and Serket in the greater Las Vegas area.
