Residex adds to turfgrass division (Feb 5)

February 5, 2015 – Residex has announced the addition of seven new territory managers to its salesforce. The new staff members will enhance Residex’s efforts to deliver its turf products to an even wider audience in Florida and Georgia.

– Chad Martin has been named territory manager for Residex’s Turfgrass Division in Northern Florida and Southern Georgia. Martin graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in agriculture management, soil and water science. He is also a member of the Florida Pest Management Association, North Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association and the Florida Turfgrass Association. Martin previously served as territory manager for Direct Solutions.

– Fred Hemming has been selected to serve as territory manager in West Central Florida. With over 26 years of experience in the industry, Hemming is a seasoned and knowledgeable professional in the field of turf management. He has been certified by the State of Florida as a Pest Control Operator (Lawn and Ornamental). Hemming is a member the Golf Course Superintendent Association’s Suncoast, Westcoast, and Ridge Chapters. He is also a member of the Florida Turfgrass Association and the Florida Pest Management Association. Prior to joining Residex, he served as a territory sales manager for Direct Solutions for five years.

– Gary Morgan has been hired to serve as territory manager for the area between Palm Bay and Amelia Island. Morgan graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in turf management. He also has 19 years of experience in the industry and has been recognized by his peers with several awards. In 2003, he received the Larry Kamphaus Award from the Central Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association. He was also awarded the Butch Singo Award from the North Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association in 2014. In addition to the Central Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association, the North Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association, he is also a member of the Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association, and the Florida Turfgrass Association. Morgan previously worked for Direct Solutions.

– Richard Newman will serve as a territory manager for Orlando, Ocala, Gainesville and North Tampa. Newman graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in agriculture management. He is also PLANET Certified and is a specialist in warm-season Bermudagrass. Newman also holds memberships with the Central Florida Golf Course Superintendent Association and the Seven Rivers Golf Course Superintendent Association. Newman comes to Residex from Direct Solutions.

– Bayardo S. Herrera has been hired to serve as territory manager for West Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade. Herrera is a polished professional with over 33 years of experience in the industry. He is certified by the State of Florida in Lawn and Ornamentals, as well as General Household Pest and Rodent Control. He is also PLANET Certified. Herrera is a member of the Florida Pest Management Association, the Certified Pest Control Operators of Florida and the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association. He comes to Residex from Direct Solutions where he was employed for nearly a decade.

– Jason Sherwood has joined the division as territory manager for Southwest Florida from Naples to Fort Myers. Sherwood is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in agriculture, specializing in turfgrass science. He is also a member of the Florida Turfgrass Association, the Everglades Golf Course Superintendent Association and the Calusa Golf Course Superintendent Association (CGCSA). Sherwood was previously employed as territory manager for Direct Solutions.

– Chris Gast has been hired to serve as the territory manager for Deerfield Beach. Gast graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in horticulture. For the past 12 years, Mast has been working in the industry as a superintendent and director of golf at clubs such as Harbour Ridge and Martin Downs in Martin County. For the past five years, he has also served on the Treasure Coast Golf Course Superintendents Association executive board.
