Shindaiwa® New Professional Grade 56v Cordless Line To Be Sold Exclusively Through Independent Servicing Dealers (Feb 8)

February 8, 2016 – Shindaiwa has launched a new Lithium-Ion 56 volt cordless product family to be sold exclusively through Shindaiwa servicing dealers. The first three models, the Shindaiwa T3000 string trimmer, the EB6000 handheld blower and the DH2000 hedge trimmer, will begin shipping to booking dealers in time for the spring season.

Shindaiwa’s quality engineering is found throughout the new Lithium-Ion products. While many other companies source their motors and other components from third party vendors, the Shindaiwa Lithium-Ion units are designed and built by Shindaiwa. As with Shindaiwa’s gas products, the new cordless line also carries 5-year consumer and 2-year commercial warranties. The battery carries a 2-year warranty.

With gas-like performance, all three pro-grade cordless tools feature powerful brushless motors and use a shared 56V battery platform. The 56V Lithium-Ion batteries come in two-amp-hour (2 Ah) and four-amp-hour (4 Ah) sizes. The tools may be purchased with or without batteries and chargers, further leveraging the investment.

The lightweight T3000 trimmer uses a solid shaft for smooth, fast acceleration and a 1.4:1 gear ratio for increased cutting torque. Typical run time with the two-amp-hour (2 Ah) battery is 29 minutes with a 12’ cutting diameter and 22 minutes with a 14’ cutting diameter. The four-amp-hour (4 Ah) battery increases run times to 60 minutes (12’ cutting diameter) and 45 minutes (14’ cutting diameter). The easy re-loading Speed-Feed 400 trimmer head comes standard with .080 diameter SilenTwistâ¾Ã‚¢ line. MSRP is $349.99 with two-amp-hour (2 Ah) battery and charger.

The EB6000 handheld blower is lightweight and comfortable with blowing performance similar to gas powered handheld blowers (367 cfm / 133 mph) and is quieter than gas handheld blowers, measuring only 57dB (A). The cordless design features the same rotational control as ECHO’s top selling gas blower. Features include grouped controls with cruise control, a tool-less blower pipe with metal wear ring and the Posi-locâ¾Ã‚¢ pipe connection keeps tubes tight. MSRP is $399.99 with the four-amp-hour (4 Ah) battery and charger.

The lightweight, well balanced DH2000 hedge trimmer features professional grade 24’ double-sided, double-reciprocating blades with a tip guard to provide added protection when trimming near obstacles such as fences or walls. The right and left hand throttle lock outs prevent unintended movement of the blades. The integrated hanger notch allows easy storing of the unit after usage. Typical Run time is 65 minutes with the two-amp-hour (2 Ah) battery and 120 minutes with the four-amp-hour (4 Ah) battery. MSRP is $349.99 with the two-amp-hour (2 Ah) battery and charger.

The two-amp-hour (2 Ah) battery will fully charge in 72 minutes with the standard charger and 42 minutes using the rapid charger. The four-amp-hour (4 Ah) battery will fully charge in 150 minutes with the standard charger and 88 minutes with the rapid charger. A gauge on the charger illustrates charge status, while a series of indicator lights on the battery show the remaining charge life.

For more than 50 years, Shindaiwa has been a legendary industry leader in manufacturing high-performance outdoor power equipment for professional users and discerning homeowners around the world. The brand is distributed by ECHO Incorporated, based in the Chicago suburbs. For additional information, please visit www.shindaiwacordless.com.
