Sir Nick Faldo of Faldo Design and Paul Jansen of Himalayas Golf
Golf is evolving, and Sir Nick Faldo is helping lead the charge. The six-time major champion and his design company, Faldo Design, have joined forces with Himalayas Golf to launch ‘Golf in Small Spaces,’ an initiative designed to bring the game to more people by reimagining where and how it’s played.
This collaboration aims to make golf more accessible and enjoyable by developing compact, purpose-built golf facilities suitable for urban environments and areas with limited land availability.
The ‘Golf in Small Spaces’ initiative, which offers the option of real grass, synthetic turf, or hybrid grass/synthetic, features a range of solutions tailored to modern lifestyles, including:
“Golf in Small Spaces provides functional and sustainable solutions for golf outside of conventional green grass courses,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “I am thrilled to bring this to life with Paul Jansen and Himalayas Golf.”
Paul Jansen, President of Himalayas Golf, emphasized the initiative’s potential impact: “Traditional golf takes a long time, requires a lot of land, and can be intimidating for newcomers. ‘Golf in Small Spaces’ offers an accessible alternative – shorter formats that need less space and it helps players build skills. It’s about making the game more inviting and sustainable for everyone.”
With shorter play formats and lower maintenance needs, ‘Golf in Small Spaces’ helps attract new players while keeping existing golfers engaged.
