Steel Green Manufacturing Introduces SG48EV; SG36EV Available to Pre-Order Now!

Building a highly capable, high-capacity zero-turn spreader/sprayer that was also electric seemed elusive. Over the past couple of years, many of our customers have asked for one, so we got to work. Today, Steel Green Manufacturing is pleased to announce two different versions.

The team is happy to introduce the SG48EV, a larger version of the SG36EV, which can carry 50 gallons of liquid and 150 pounds of granular product. It carries a lot, and it’s also ready for all-day use. When you’re done for the day, it can fully recharge in eight hours, so it’ll be ready to go again in the morning. It is available to pre-order today!

We are now also taking pre-orders for our SG36EV, which we’ve demoed at Equip Expo before. We wanted your feedback, and now, the machine is ready to launch. The SG36EV’s 30-gallon liquid capacity, 150-pound electric hopper, and ability to fit through a 36-inch gate make it perfect for treating residential properties back-to-back.

There’s a lot of noise in the electric vehicle space, but one of the biggest benefits on the spreader/sprayer side is the low operating cost. Of course, there’s the factor of electricity being cheaper than gasoline in many places, but that’s only the beginning. With an electric spreader/sprayer, there’s no oil to change, and there’s no risk of hydraulic failures or leaks, either. That means fewer hiccups that can keep you sidelined.
