The Topeka Country Club (TCC) would like to congratulate Leo Pellant, Golf Course Superintendent, on 35 years of service at the Club.
On August 12, 1979, Leo started his career at The Topeka Country Club as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. He had recently graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture with an emphasis in Turf Grass Science. In 1997, Leo was promoted to Golf Course Superintendent and has been serving TCC at that capacity ever since.
In celebration of this accomplishment, TCC presented Leo and his wife, Keven, with an all expense paid trip to Italy to mark this special achievement.
When asked about this milestone in his career, Leo recalled, “One of my favorite things in the job has been working with the different kids who’ve come through. I have worked with two generations of families and have seen many go on to become doctors, lawyers and very successful in their endeavors. Time has flown by in the blink of an eye. Topeka has been a wonderful community for my wife and I. I’m happy to say I’ve had no regrets in those 35 years.”

At TCC, we pride ourselves in our fine and casual dining, our private and club-wide events, and of course, our incredible golfing, tennis and pool amenities. Our beautiful and challenging 18-hole was designed by world renowned designer, Perry Maxwell, there are no tee times and the Golf Shop is always stocked with the latest fashions and equipment that any golfer may need. Our PGA golf staff is available for private lessons, clinics and they also teach the summer Junior Golf program. At the Tennis Center, you have your choice of 3 indoor or 4 outdoor courts. TCC has a swim team, the lifeguards teach swim lessons and we also have water aerobics! TCC’s Executive Chef has weekly features in the Grille Room ranging from Pizza Night on Wednesday and flown-in fresh seafood on Friday. There are specials featured every night of the week with something for everyone. Sunday boasts a spectacular Sunday Brunch buffet with variety of choices as well as an omelet station, carved selections each week and a dessert station. All desserts are made in-house by our Pastry Chef. At TCC, there is fun for everyone!
