Unique Lighting Systems’ Newest Addition Puts Spotlight on Growing Midwest Region

Tim McKay is the latest lighting professional to join the Unique Lighting Systems team. McKay joins Unique Lighting as District Sales Manager for the Midwest, covering Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Southern Illinois and Southern Iowa.

McKay is a proven landscape lighting designer and comes to Unique Lighting Systems with over 24 years of experience in the landscape lighting industry – much of that serving the Midwest region. He started his career with a large lighting company in Omaha, Nebraska, where he worked for 10 years. He then worked with Nightscaping in the Rocky Mountain Region, before moving to the Midwest with Vista Lighting for the past 7 years.

Unique Lighting first set itself apart in the industry with its revolutionary HUB wiring system, which helps make the installation process less time consuming and costly. That focus on innovation continues with recent introductions, such as, LED FLEX-FIT™ that eliminates centering and lamp retention issues, pre-lamped fixtures that save on installation time, and rapid order fulfillment through the new QuickShip program. “I’m looking forward to this great opportunity, and feel that the Unique Lighting brand and innovative approach to the industry make it a perfect fit,” said McKay. “Unique’s passion is real. I’m glad to be a part of it.”

“Unique Lighting continues to build on its success and recognizes opportunities in the Midwest market,” says Kyle Trotter, director of sales for Unique Lighting. “With Tim joining the team as a dedicated expert in the Midwest region, it enables our distributors and partners to take advantage of his expertise and tap into the area’s growth potential.”
