U.S. Battery Manufacturing executive set to retire

After 15 years with the company, U.S. Battery Manufacturing vice president of sales William C. Glover is retiring effective Jan. 1, 2015. Glover joined U.S. Battery in 1999 and was a major contributor toward the company’s growth in North America, as well as growth and development of both OEM business and national account programs.

“I feel grateful for the opportunity of working with everyone at U.S. Battery and for my part in helping to elevate the company to its current position,” Glover said. “I can say that lifelong friendships have been developed and as such, I am lucky and a better man today because of them.”

With more than 34 years of experience, Glover began his career in the battery business working for New Castle Battery Manufacturing where he managed the retail centers in Canton and Cleveland, Ohio. Glover also attended both Valley Forge Military Academy and Robert Morris University.

“I retire with mixed emotions, because it’s hard to close this chapter in my life,” he said. “But, I am also looking forward to spending more time with my wife Linda, my children and grandchildren.”

“We are happy to report that Bill will continue working with the sales team after retirement as an independent factory representative,” U.S. Battery CMO/executive vice president Don Wallace said. “In that capacity he will be working with select accounts and developing new business as the opportunities present themselves. Bill has been an integral part of the company for the past 15 years and a great personal friend for almost 55 years, his full-time presence will be missed.”
