Van Wall and Schenkelberg Join Forces in Iowa

March 10, 2016 – Van Wall Equipment and Schenkelberg Implement announced today that they have finalized an agreement for the John Deere locations in Carroll, Denison, Onawa, and Sac City to come together with the rest of the Van Wall organization. Going forward, the four locations will begin operating as Van Wall Equipment and provide a significant boost to the existing strengths of the Van Wall dealership group. With this move, Van Wall Equipment will continue to sell and service John Deere agricultural, commercial, and consumer needs in the area with an even broader set of resources and specialization.

‘We are very pleased we have the opportunity to embrace the strength of the Schenkelberg organization, and to become part of these new communities,’ said Don Van Houweling, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Van Wall Group. ‘We look forward to knowing and serving the customers who helped the Schenkelberg family build one of the great John Deere dealer brands in the Midwest.’

‘We are excited to bring our team together with the Van Wall team,’ said Gary Schenkelberg, CEO of Schenkelberg Implement. ‘When we looked for a company to continue the rich and successful heritage of Schenkelberg Implement, we were convinced that the Van Wall team was a solid match. As another family organization, Van Wall understands the business of agriculture and appreciates the unique capabilities and opportunities we have in our market place.’

‘Our focus is to be very competitive as the Clear First Choice for the markets we service,’ said Van Houweling. ‘I have no doubt that by leveraging our scale and the strength of the teams already in place at these west central Iowa locations, we will have the opportunity to continue to be just that in these great communities.’
