Ventrac Unveils New Front-Mounted Boom Mower

Orrville, Ohio  – Continuing their commitment to producing the highest quality attachments in the industry, Ventrac unveils their newest addition – the Ventrac Boom Mower- for use on their 4500 model tractor.

Listening to their customers, Ventrac is filling a gap in the marketplace for a machine that could reduce the hours of string-trimming involved when maintaining areas where traditional mowers cannot reach or operate safely.

Because of the unique articulating frame and front power take-off of the 4500 tractors, Ventrac is able to offer customers a boom mower that is connected to the front of the tractor, greatly increasing visibility, safety, and productivity.  “We are excited to introduce the industry’s first front-mounted boom with an auto-leveling head feature. This boom is unquestionably the easiest and most productive boom mower in its class,” stated Ryan Steiner, Director of Engineering for Ventrac.

The Ventrac Boom Mower is designed to deliver unprecedented levels of efficiency for anyone who maintains a property.  Estate owners, golf courses, parks, municipalities, landscape contractors, and more, all find a need for this type of boom mower.  The Ventrac 4500 and Boom Mower combination have the stability and reach to effectively manage vegetation further away from the machine than other equipment.  This allows for easier and timely management of growth in places that would otherwise require a team of laborers with string trimmers.  As an added bonus, the cutting head can also be operated in a vertical position and has the capacity to trim light woody material so it can be used for hedges, trail sides, and anywhere else that would require time and labor-intensive hand trimming or pruning.

Features:

  • Auto-leveling cutting head design for easiest operation
  • Double-action 3 ft. sickle bar cutting head
  • Better visibility – out in front of the driver
  • Easily folds into itself for compact storage
  • Quick installation – attaches or detaches in a couple minutes
  • Operate on turf without damaging the surface
  • Over 9-foot reach

Areas to use this:

  • Mow steep ditches
  • Reach under fences and guardrails
  • Cut vegetation around ponds, lakes, & streams
  • Trim hedges and other shrubs
  • Trim tree branches along trails, pathways or roads
