The Bay Course and The Plantation Course are among Hawai‘i’s most revered golf destinations, playing host to the PGA Tour Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January, featuring an elite field of the previous year’s PGA Tour winners. According to a recent Pacific Business News article, Troon Golf intends to retain current Maui Land & Pineapple Co. employees who run the two Kapalua courses.
“In the coming weeks, we will be meeting with golf employees at Kapalua Golf Resort to explain the employment process going forward, and it is our intention to transition qualified golf associates to our employment platform,” said Mike Ryan, senior vice president of operations at Troon Golf, in a statement. “We recognize the rich tradition that has been developed at Kapalua over the years, and it’s our goal to continue to provide this same high quality experience for all of the guests and employees.”
